FibreThis Privacy Policy explains how Tiger Connect (registration number 2019/233241/07), trading as FibreTiger ("we", "us", "our"), collects and handles your personal information when you use www.fibretiger.co.za.
We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa. By using our site, you agree to this policy.
1. How we use your information
We use any personal information you provide to:
- Respond to your fibre quote or coverage enquiry.
- Connect you with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) if you have specifically requested a quote from that ISP (see Section 2).
- Occasionally email you about the best fibre deals in South Africa — a few times per year at most — if you previously signed up via one of our lead forms.
- Improve our website and services.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Ever.
2. Sharing with Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
FibreTiger is a comparison and lead-generation service. We only forward your details to a specific ISP if both of the following are true:
- You have actively chosen to request a quote from that specific ISP, and
- We have an active lead form enabled for that ISP at the time.
At present, no active ISP lead forms are enabled on our site, which means we are not currently forwarding any personal information to third-party ISPs. If this changes, you will be informed at the point of submission and your consent will be required.
We do not share your information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.
2.1 Information collected via lead forms
Where a lead form is active and you choose to use it, the information we collect is limited to your name, email address, and phone number. We do not ask for ID numbers, financial information, or other sensitive personal data.
3. Marketing emails & unsubscribing
If you signed up through one of our lead forms, we may send you a small number of emails per year highlighting the best current fibre deals.
To unsubscribe at any time, send an email to info@fibretiger.co.za with the subject line "Unsubscribe". We will remove you from our mailing list promptly.
4. Cookies & analytics
Our site uses:
- Google Analytics — to understand how visitors use the site (anonymised, aggregated data).
- Affiliate tracking cookies — to track referrals to ISP partners so we may earn a commission, at no cost to you.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well as a result.
5. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, in line with POPIA's security safeguards.
No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously and review our practices regularly.
6. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to any legal retention obligations.
- Object to processing of your data, including for marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at https://inforegulator.org.za.
